Ashley & Kyne

Some love stories begin with a spark, but ours started with a dance.

It was Texas-OU weekend in Dallas, October 2018. The music was loud, the energy was high, and fate was clearly feeling bold. As Ashley made her way across the dance floor, a handsome stranger named Kyne spotted her in the crowd. She was stunning. Her smile lit up the room, and something about her presence pulled him in. Without hesitation, he reached out, took her hand, and asked her to dance. Ashley, single and intrigued by the confident, fit guy with the charming smile, said “Why not?” They danced together for five songs straight sharing laughter, rhythm, and chemistry, but not names. Just good vibes.

Fast forward to the next Texas-OU weekend in 2019. Kyne spotted Ashley again, still not realizing she was the same woman from that dance-floor magic the year before. This time, he asked their mutual friend Brianca about her, then formally introduced himself. That’s when Ashley smiled and said, “You know we danced last year, right?” The realization hit him like a beat drop — she was the girl from the video his friends had recorded. The mystery girl. It wasn’t just a coincidence. It was a rerun scripted by destiny. The connection was undeniable, and the rhythm they found on that dance floor became the beat of something real.

Years later, in September 2022, life brought them both back to Houston, unknowingly moving to the same city in the same summer. Kyne had just bought his first house. When Ashley congratulated him, he said something that neither of them would forget: “My spirit told me that you’re going to be the one to turn this house into a home.” A week later, she visited… and the rest is history.

Over the past two years, their love has grown through laughter, travel, and triumphs. They’ve explored over 15 destinations together, across 6 states and 3 countries, from the beaches of Jamaica to snowy Denver and even experiencing the magic of Disney. They’ve danced through joy and walked through challenges, including job loss, always coming out stronger on the other side.

And then came March 1, 2025, the proposal. Kyne whisked Ashley away for a surprise helicopter tour of Houston. As the helicopter landed on the helipad, he dropped to one knee and asked her to be his forever. But the surprises didn’t stop there. Ashley, thinking they were heading to her mom’s birthday dinner, soon found herself at a secret engagement party filled with her closest friends and family, even those who had flown in from out of town. It was everything she never knew she wanted.

Their love is adventurous, resilient, and full of fun. Kyne is Ashley’s protector, her peace, and her partner in laughter and growth. Ashley is Kyne’s safe space, his joy, and the love that makes him feel fully seen and known.

From a nameless dance to a lifetime together, this is our love story and it’s just getting started.
